Weekly Events

Thursday Night Gathering

Join us every Thursday night from 10:00pm-11:00pm in the Coleman-Morse Lounge, located on the first floor of the Coleman Morse Center! As per ISI tradition, every gathering begins with an ice-breaker, which is followed by worship and a student talk/testimony sharing the ways in which God has been working in their life. At the end, we conclude with prayer and reflection, followed by a time for fellowship. Coming on Thursday night is the best way to learn more about ISI, get connected, and see if our group is right for you! All are welcome - we can't wait to see you there!

Every first Thursday of the month is a special edition of Iron Sharpens Iron's Thursday Night Gathering - Mug Night! Bring a mug (or borrow one of ours) and enjoy hot drinks and snacks during the talk.

SNoW - (Sunday Night of Worship)

Every Sunday from 9:00pm-10:00pm ISI holds SNoW, a time for casual acoustic praise and worship with all of your ISI friends! Weather permitting, SNoW is held outside at the Woman at the Well Statue, just outside of O'Shaughnessy Hall. When it's too cold (and/or rainy), SNoW is held indoors in Coleman-Morse room 326. Feel free to come and go as you please throughout the hour of worship - and don't forget to bring your song requests!

STORM - (Seeking Togetherness Over Regular Meals)

If you're looking for a casual setting to get to know your other ISI friends better outside of Thursday nights, come to STORM! Founded by the one and only Caleb Grieser, STORM takes place every Tuesday night from 5:30pm-7:00pm at NDH - and don't worry if you arrive a few minutes late! We meet in the lobby to pray and then find a table in the dining hall before taking advantage of some of the finest food that Campus Dining has to offer. Bon appetit!

FOG - (Freshmen Of God)

Are you a first-year student looking to make some new friends and get connected with ISI? If so, FOG is for you! Hosted by our incredible FOG Leaders Leah Moody, Joshua Chen, and Sarah Sisolak, all freshmen are invited to gather at 5:15pm on Sunday Nights at NDH or SDH - pay attention to the FOG Group Chat, since the location rotates each week. Dinner is followed by a fun activity planned by the FOG Leaders, ranging from snow tubing trips, to game nights, to sports competitions.

Small Groups

If you're interested in connecting on a deeper level with other ISI members, we invite you to join an ISI small group! Small groups meet at different times and places throughout the week and range in size, topic, and duration. Whether you're looking for a Bible study, theology discussion, or book reading, there is an ISI small group for you. If you are interested in joining (or leading) a small group, please contact our small group leader Noah Crockett (ncrocket@nd.edu)!

Bi-Annual Events

Retreat

Iron Sharpens Iron holds an off-campus overnight retreat every semester to take a break from the busyness of the weekly schedule, reconnect spiritually, and grow in faith through fellowship - and all are welcome! If you have never attended a retreat, you can expect talks from other students as well as a guest speaker, time for worship, prayer, and personal reflection, fun activities and team-building exercises with your retreat small group, and simply time with one another over board games and meals. Accommodation, meals, and activities are all included in a small retreat fee, but please do not hesitate to reach out to Leadership if you are unable to pay. We can't wait for you to join us on our upcoming retreat during Fall 2023!

Potluck

Do you get tired of DH food and GrubHub pickups? Are you looking for another opportunity to connect with your ISI friends? If so, join us each semester at our Iron Sharpens Iron Potluck! At each Potluck, we cook and share some of our favorite dishes followed by a time of fellowship. Are you interested in sharing your culinary skills (or lack thereof) with the rest of ISI? If so, sign up to cook an appetizer, entrée, or dessert on the Potluck spreadsheet. Let us know what ingredients you need, and ISI will take care of the shopping for you - free of charge! We had an amazing time at our most recent Spring Potluck, and can't wait to see you at our upcoming Potluck this fall!
