SERVE

Are you interested in serving Iron Sharpens Iron by taking an active role in ISI's ministry?

Iron Sharpens Iron is 100% student-run, and student-led - it's people like you that make our ministry possible! If you'd like go above and beyond by leading in ISI and helping our organization spread the joy and truth of the Gospel to others in the Tri-Campus community, please see below for ways that you can get involved.

Worship

The worship leaders are always looking for more people to help lead worship, whether it's on Thursday nights at our weekly Gathering, on Sunday nights at SNoW, and at our bi-annual retreats. If you sing or play an instrument and would like to get involved, please join the Praise Team group chat to learn more, or sign up on the worship sign-up sheet - no prior experience required! If you have any questions about worship, don't hesitate to reach out to either of our two Worship Leaders, Maddie Long (mlong5@nd.edu) and Kyle Bass (kbass2@nd.edu).

Talks

Has God been moving in your life lately? Do you have a testimony to share? Has a Bible passage been weighing on your heart? If so, we invite you to share about your faith at a Thursday Night Gathering! As the focal point of each Thursday evening, student testimonies help everyone in the ISI community to learn about, grow in, and reflect on their faith while drawing closer to Christ and His word. Sharing a talk with others at one of our Gatherings requires time, preparation, and a meeting with our Talks Leaders, and schedules for each semester are normally finalized before the semester begins. If you are interested in giving a talk next semester, keep an eye out for the Talks Interest Form which will be sent out by email, and don't hesitate to contact either of our Talks Leaders, Ava Schwan (aschwan2@nd.edu) or Bethanni Russell (brussel4@nd.edu), if you have any questions!

Small Groups

Are you looking for an opportunity to deepen your faith in a smaller and more personal setting? Do you want to take part in a men's or women's group, Bible study, or reading group that ISI does not yet have? If so, small groups are for you. If you're interested in leading a small group by yourself or with another person, please reach out to our Small Groups Leader Noah Crockett (ncrocket@nd.edu). Whether you have an idea for your group or need helping thinking of a topic, Noah is always happy to help guide you through the process and can connect you with other members of the ISI community that may be interested in getting involved.

Retreats

While many of the administrative and preparatory responsibilities at Iron Sharpens Iron are fulfilled by the ISI Leadership Team, the planning for each of our semesterly Retreats are completely delegated to a team of two selected from the ISI community as a whole! Although the Leadership Team takes care of the finances and reservations - and will be there to help throughout the planning process -  the two Retreat coordinators are responsible for coming up with a theme, planning the events, giving talks, scheduling a guest speaker, and more. Retreat planning generally starts at the beginning of each semester, so if you are interested in leading a retreat please don't hesitate to reach out to either of our two Logistics Leaders, Mya McClure (mmcclur3@nd.edu) or Sam Coffman (scoffma2@nd.edu).
